Computer and Data Security

Before the Internet, data security was easier and depended largely on simple, physical security. Along with connected networks came viruses, worms, trojan horses, data theft, denial of service attacks, and attempts to disrupt internet enterpises.
Today, not many computers are "stand-alone" and not connected to the internet. Computers which are not connected to the internet are obviously more secure, but, unfortunately, such computers can not perform many of the tasks that make computers and the internet a necessity.
This site was designed to provide you with a general introduction to the concepts of Data Security Software, Network Security Software, Email Security Software, PC Intrusion Detection Systems, Firewall Virus Protection, Computer Security Training, and Network Security Training. Afterwards, you will more likely be prepared to select the proper software given your specific security concerns.
This site also provides an introduction to both computer security training and network security training. Computer security training is a necessity in this age of hackers, identity thieves, malware and cyber crime, and it is now essential to have trained network security personnel defending networks against external and internal threats.
